I MOVED TO MINNESOTA

I’m Ashley, a Minneapolis-based makeup artist with a decade of experience creating elevated soft glam that looks stunning both in person and in photos. My approach is simple: fewer clients, more attention to detail, and a calm, fun atmosphere. By working with smaller bridal parties, I ensure every person gets the care they deserve.

When I’m not helping clients look and feel amazing, I’m traveling the world, keeping up with fashion, and making people laugh with my dry humor. I may not cook, but I know how to create a look that EATS!

Getting there wasn’t a cakewalk, though. It took faith in God first then grit,  and a whole lot of “nope, not giving up today.” But I made it! I became the MAC girl I dreamed about, working in Minnesota for four fabulous years. I learned from the best, worked on clients from all over, and soaked up every ounce of training I could get.

By 2018, I was ready to run the show. So, I started my own business—Ashley Larae MUA LLC—and never looked back. Now, I’m out here doing what I love, on my terms, and making people feel like their most confident, gorgeous selves.

Here’s the tea: I’ve been obsessed with makeup forever. Back when I was 19, hustling in Macy’s shoe department in Cali, I’d stare across at the MAC girls like they were movie stars. They had that edgy vibe, their makeup was chef’s kiss, and they could transform anyone with just a few swipes of a brush. I told myself, “One day, that’s gonna be me.” Spoiler alert: it totally was.
